We don't really get too concerned about snowfall up here, but it isn't very often that we actually get "snowed in". Monday night my fiance and I decided to take one of our cars over to our warehouse and put it inside rather than leave it in the driveway....we wanted the BEST chances of the plow getting through without having to shovel too much afterwards. Luckily we have the ONLY driveway on the street that is "plow-able". (We might kinda enjoy watching them snowblow/shovel/dig as our plow clears a beautiful clean path).
Our driveway wasn't cleared out until close to 4 in the afternoon, so we both had a "mandatory" snow day. SO MUCH FUN! We sat inside, my fiance did his taxes and I watched a Spartacus marathon. It was one of those do-nothing days that never come around often enough - or with a good enough excuse to actually do nothing. :)
I definitely feel for all of the folks out doing the actual plowing, what a long day! I know our driveway had to be done three separate times throughout the storm, and our office/warehouse building was done more than that. They definitely had a long day - plus there's another storm on its way! Living the dream in the Northeast....
I'm sure when we are living in the south I will wish for snow days and cooler temperatures, but for now I would absolutely trade the snow for a warm beach and some sunshine!
