I am a new fan of goal-setting. I think this is mostly thanks to my fiance who has forced me to listen to multiple lectures and books on the subject (speaking of which, I'll give a list of some of my favs. at the end of this post) and also made me sit down and write out 50 personal goals.
Currently two things I'm working on in my personal life and also for my business development are:
#1. Being accountable (to myself first) to keeping my plans
#2. Getting my head a little more organized and putting my thoughts on paper.

A great friend of mine pointed me in the direction of one tool I've been loving lately for my nutrition & fitness goals - the FitBook!
She and I have been using the fitbook for about 6 weeks now and I love it. It has been a learning curve to remember to actually keep this with me and write down everything I do (or don't do....) but I've found it has become easier as I go. The book has a place for me to set goals, record current weight/measurements/etc. and also space for recaps! I'm attempting to get better at planning - it is a new thing for me.....which as I type out I realize how sad that is to say.
This "planning struggle" leads me to my next new tool: the Passion Planner. I just ordered one a few weeks ago, and today I did the very first exercise!
I'm really excited to stretch my comfort zone and stay accountable to goalsetting & PLANNING through this awesome (and how pretty!?) new book. (fyi, just posting a photo of something I've written in is a comfort zone stretch for me) I am working right now on the "mind map" section of the planner....I think it's exactly what I needed to start getting my MIND MAPPED.
I promise I'll update again once I've had a chance to get started with using the Passion Planner more in depth.
Another resource I've been loving lately is Marie Forleo of Marie TV. She is a business woman who posts videos with TONS of interviews, Q&A sessions, and personal development guides. She did a video a little while ago called "Why Smart People Underperform" and it addresses almost everything I have just been talking about.
Isn't she awesome?! I've been subscribing to her YouTube channel for a few months now, and I've gotten so much great information!
As promised, here is a list of the books & speakers that my fiance shared with me:
I hope some of these are helpful to someone else besides just me! So far I've been able to (pretty much) squash my procrastination struggle, and I'm getting so much closer to actually achieving some of my goals than I ever was before I started actually writing them down and keeping track of them.
