I purchased my first house (a foreclosure) in 2007, renovated it, and sold it in 2009. I never really intended to do the same thing again - I want to move ANYWHERE besides here - but in July 2009 I purchased another foreclosed house and began renovations.
My second house is much bigger than my first, and I can't explain how excited I was at the fact that I had TWO FULL bathrooms, PLUS bathroom closets, bigger bedroom closets, etc.
Here's what the house looked like to begin with:
These pictures are what the listing agent used when I bought the house - but remember, when I purchased it it was in foreclosure - it didn't even look this "good". (Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with pastels or pretty things, but goodness!)
My plan with this house has been pretty much the same as my first - except I've done things QUITE differently time-wise (insert convenient real-estate market crash here) I planned to renovate & sell this house in a year.....not quite.
Now, thankfully with the help of my dashing fiance, I am trying to turn "This Old House" into "This SOLD House".
